Emery Thompson has been building batch ice cream machines since the early 1900’s and has served customers worldwide. Steve and I talk about his journey and where he is heading, as he retired from Emery Thompson and begins a new journey – STEVE THOMPSON CONSULTING.

Emery Thompson started in 1905 and continues to grow; one customer at a time.
This past October 11, 2024 it was announced “Middleby Acquires Emery Thompson Frozen Dessert Equipment Company”. Sit back and listen to my conversation with my good friend, Steve Thompson, as he tells the story of the journey of his family’s business.
Steve is not leaving the company, he looks to guide the family business into the Middleby (Taylor Company/part of the Middleby family) family of businesses over the next 3 years. Taylor Company & Emery Thompson are leaders in both innovation & customer service; in the Ice Cream Industry.
The Emery Thompson name and quality will continue for another 120 years.

A conversation with Jake Klein, Lead Project Manager, Taylor Freezer of Michigan. I caught up with Jake at the 2017 GLICFFA Convention in Lansing, MI on February 4th I was working the Taylor Freezer of MI booth helping with their customers and sales reps. He talks about his roll at the ice cream & food specialty sales company in Michigan. Jake handles the social media, web design, and related internet and marketing areas at the distributorship. He talks about how he is 
updating the sales reps awareness a of social media tools and how they can continue to grow their sales as well as serve existing customers. Jake tells me how he brings together the internet marketing support programs from Taylor Company and ties it in with his companies sales and service needs. He is working hard to blend the best of the past with the tools of the future. Enjoy and I trust you will find it of value.

Indiana, C. Nelson, dealer Taylor Distributors of Indiana starts off their new ice cream season with their annual Open House gathering at their Greenwood, IN, office and showroom. As the snow was falling the folks at, Ice cream freezer leader, Taylor Distributors were open for their guest to see what was new for 2015. With a few of their vendors in attendance displaying their goods the annual open house started with a large gathering of current customers and new prospects.
