The “ultimate mobile” Ice Cream Dipping & Sundae Cart
Friendly’s is taking “it” to the streets! This portable “Ice Cream Shoppe” cart was designed by the team at C. Nelson to satisfy the marketing needs of an old favorite New England ice cream company.

Server Products 2/3rd size jars & pumps allows the cart operator an expanded variety of toppings in a compact work space.
This cart offers a variety of topping choices; hot or cold, dry or wet, or just a great tasting scoop of your choice of ice creams. The sneeze guard separates the customers from the prep area, with hot and cold running water it is easy for the cart operator to wash their hands and keep the cart clean all day. With the use of the i.scoopshower the customer only uses water to clean scoops when needed and this saves water storage capacity at remote locations.
Once again C. Nelson has gone to Server Products for their 2/3rdline of jars, ladles, and pumps, this choice offers any operator an expanded number of toppings to make shakes, smoothies, or sundaes, in a very compact work space.

Operator’s side of cart with toppings, freezer, hot topping warmer and hot & cold water sink with scoop washer.
This project represents the types of solutions that C. Nelson has to offer to their customers around the world. This cart fits many of the customer needs for mobile seasonal or long term retail sales, with 3 sets of large easy to roll casters, this cart is easy to move-in and move-out of those short term retail-sales (malls, resorts, or those big box stores) locations. This cart can be used at new ice cream product roll outs at grocery stores serving up samples. Other uses for this type of cart are school sporting events, church festivals, state and country fairs, hospital or college snack shops, airport snack shops, corporate promotional events, or customer appreciation days. The C. Nelson carts are used to promote your brand anywhere ice cream lovers gather.
Today’s operators realize the need to “take their business to the streets”; C. Nelson offers a variety of sizes to choose from. C. Nelson starts with the basic CLT4NR line of carts and expands all the way up to the custom designed line of carts. C. Nelson carts can be designed around your brand or your product, so get started today.
Newly designed & updated, Milk Shake, Smoothie, and Ice Cream scooping freezer by C. Nelson Mfg., CO.
C.Nelson Mfg., Co., Oak Harbor, Ohio, USA, is proud to introduce the newly updated BDxx-JR (BD4-JR “the new look video”) series of flavorrail freezers. C. Nelson Mfg., lead by Kelley Smith, President, and his design team manager Paul Cox, Plant Engineer, spent almost a year researching the Milk Shake & Burger market leaders. One such company is

BD4-JR showing the optional 9 Jars from Server Products, the 2/3rd size jars with lids and pumps, and the sliding access door for scooping ice cream, custard, or yogurt.
Fatburger, an existing customer based out of Southern California, with stores located around the world. Kelley Smith said Fatburger came to him and had a simple request; they wanted a well-built freezer free-standing or counter drop-in, with at least 6 traditional topping jars, a large work prep area, front breather compressor that would allow the freezer to be pushed all the way to the wall, and a company that was willing to stand behind their product with world-wide service & support. Simple request, thought Kelley Smith, because that is what we do for all our customers we build quality in every cabinet!
Paul Cox later told me that during the design process Fatburger then asked what was the possibility to expand the flavorrail capacity to more than 6 traditional size topping jars, and that is when Dennis Byrne of Byrne & Associates, representative of Server Products Company, came to the rescue. Dennis Byrne introduced C. Nelson to the new Server Products 2/3rd size topping jar line.
The new 2/3rd jar line was designed for those operations that wanted more variety in the same space. We were excited, said Paul Cox, just what we were looking for. Fatburger and many of C. Nelson’s custom design burger & shake accounts where excited too! Kelley Smith and Paul Cox were able to get 50% more jars in the same flavorrail line of cabinets. Kelley Smith and Paul Cox appreciated the help of Ron Ripple, VP of Sales & Marketing with Server Products, Kelley Smith said both companies worked hard to satisfy the needs of our mutual customer Fatburger.
C. Nelson, for the past 30 years, built the model BDF series flavorrail cabinet, this style has served many ice cream shops years of service free operation but was limited on workspace and expanded topping choices. Another Southern California customer, Ghirardelli Chocolates, was looking for a flavorrail that would give them an old-fashioned soda fountain look with lots and lots of work space. Ghirardelli satisfied both needs in the newly re-designed BDxx-JR cabinet. Ghirardelli put the new cabinets, BD8-JR and BD12-JR, in their Disney California, Soda Shop. The cabinets allowed them

BD12-JR with lots of topping choices and lots and lots of work prep space for making great tasting sundaes or banana splits.
to have lots of topping choices for their great tasting cool creamery Ghirardelli Ice Creams and lots of work prep space for making their world-famous ice cream sundaes.
C. Nelson has received accolades from the milk shake, smoothie, and scoop shop operators, both independent and chain, regarding the features and benefits of this new design. C. Nelson offers another industry first they are the only company that builds this style and offer over 5 models to choose from.

What it takes to Open & Operate a new ice cream store…..lots of hard work and faith!
Eric Gerber has been planning this store for years, he searched for the right location, the right building, the best equipment package. Eric stayed focused and keep looking for the right deal to come along and finally a year ago it did. Working with Eric for the past 15 years designing his earlier stores, developing new products, and consulting on operational issues, has lead me to understand what he my customer wanted. Eric’s Irresistible Ice Cream is about to open and this job is no different than what my many dealers deal with everyday. I work well with industry suppliers because after 35 years in the food business I understand what it takes to complete a store package.
The services I managed for Eric were; 1) equipment selection, 2) equipment layout, 3) ice cream homemade recipes, and 4) general pricing and product formulation. Eric is a smart operator he knew what he wanted.
I was proud to place 2 C. Nelson 16DIP-HVdipping cabinets as “focal point” pieces.
These cabinets directed the customer’s eye to the center of the serving line and pulled them across the back wall menu board. Eric designed his lighting around the LED cabinet lighting for a more dramatic retail experience
. Eric has brought an uptown feel to a rural market. Eric said he wanted his customers to feel like they we getting their ice cream treats in Chicago, IL, New York, NY, or Columbus, OH. Eric spent months researching his market and the markets of those successful operators in New York, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati. Eric has exceeded his desires, stop in and see what I mean, his store is beautiful! The ice cream…is fresh made and tastes great!

Do you and or your accounts want to earn more Profits, by increasing your Sales?
C. Nelson hits another Home Run with Dayton, Ohio Smoothie King franchise operator Eric & Lynne Ferguson, they operate a store in the Dayton market and they wanted to take their product to the streets to grow sales, and market awareness. Eric said he wants everyone to taste his great tasting smoothies and he needed a push cart and preparation cart to make that happen. Eric loves the energy efficient and light weight Sabrina/New-Gen carts. Easy to move around when full of ready to sell Smoothies!
The Smoothie prep-cart was delivered just before the Dayton Dragons hit the field. Eric will finish the cart with another mouth watering logo by his local graphics company.
We wish Eric and his wife Lynne a Home Run season with his great smoothies. Eric knows the value of “taking his business to the streets“! Do you?
