I had the pleasure to meet Clementine’s Naughty and Nice Creamery owner, Tamara Keefe, at the NICRA 2014 show in Lexington, KY. Tamara and I talked about the challenges of opening a new business let alone an ice cream shop. She was looking for quality ice cream dipping cabinets that would display her great tasting handcrafted ice creams.
She purchased several C. Nelson Curved-Glass ice cream dipping cabinets.

Salt & Straw Ice Cream Empire Strikes
LA’s ice cream game is getting even stronger.Great news for ice cream lovers. After rumors of a new Westside shop started circling a few months ago, Salt & Straw, the Portland-based, chef-driven creamery with a current LA location in Larchmont Village, announced the opening two more scoop shops in the Los Angeles area. With upcoming locations at 1357 Abbot Kinney in Venice and 829 E 3rd Street in the Arts Districts, the expanding ice cream empire will span a wide breadth of the city, making its popular sea salt with caramel ribbons more readily available for all.
Construction on the 1,035 square foot space on the corner of Abbot Kinney and California Ave will begin shortly, with an expected opening of Fall 2015.
The Arts District will receive its larger, 2,300 square foot shop early next year. Thankfully,
Eastsiders who can’t wait to dig into Salt & Straw’s LA-inspired flavors like avocado and strawberry sherbet, the Salt & Straw ice cream truck will begin scooping outside its upcoming Arts District location 7 days a week from noon to 10 p.m. beginning this Friday, August 14.

#LittleGiant will deliver……Ice Cream
Negroni ice cream, anyone?
From their website…..
Little Giant Ice Cream was born of a simple love for ice cream. The experiences it inspires, the memories it helps create. It’s simple, honest and easy. But it’s also decadent– a treat for the best of times, and the ultimate comfort during the tough stuff.
Located in the heart of the East Bay, Little Giant is Oakland’s scoop shop. All of our ingredients are locally sourced and of the highest quality, but what really makes us different is that we’re here to listen to you. That means our ever-changing flavor lineup will be determined not only by the ingredients that are in season, but by customer demand.
